Choosing the font face for your website seems
an easy task, there are thousands of different fonts both
commercial and free to be used. But for a person to see your
website using the font type of your choice, they also must
have the font installed on their system. Therefore how many
fonts are safe?
The answer is 9, but only if you are using
a modern computer system. Older PC systems use Arial and Times
New Roman, and older Macs use Helvetica and Times.
The 9 safe fonts in question are installed
into your system by the Internet Explorer browser, and they
are also supplied as standard by both Windows and Mac operating
systems.
